oSPHERE is earned by only two ways within the ecosystem;
1. Winning a Gauge Auction. 2. Being a gSPHERE Holder.
Winning a Gauge Auction - Earning oSPHERE
As a means for the protocol to build its decentralized hedge fund, the protocol offers up oSPHERE emissions (determined by governance) as payment in return for yield bearing assets within the Sonic ecosystem
Being a gSPHERE Holder - Earning oSPHERE
To pass additional passive value back to the ecosystem, gSPHERE holders receive a portion of gauge auction emissions as a reward / incentive for participating in governance and voting on gauges. This allows users to continue to build value within the bonding curve by exercising the options token or to continue to increase their governance voting power, by burning the oSPHERE reward.
