Governance

Governance Power & Voting Incentives

Holding gSPHERE grants access to real-time governance, allowing users to direct emissions, farm yield, extract value from bribes and influence the fund's capital acquisition strategies.

What Governance Controls

gSPHERE holders vote each epoch (approx. 7 days) to:

  • Allocate oSPHERE emissions across micro-funds

  • Choose which assets the protocol accumulates

  • Influence yield auction schedules and reward flows

  • Shape the fund’s exposure profile in real time

This vote-directed system empowers the community to guide protocol behaviour without centralized control.

Bribe-Enabled Voting

When a microfund’s auction clears, the target asset lands in the contract. The protocol applies a single global split parameter s (between 0 and 50%):

  • Bribe rewardss of the proceeds is paid to the gSPHERE voters who supported that microfund.

  • Vault deposit – the remaining (1 – s) stays inside the microfund to start earning yield.

Why the split exists

  • Bootstraps early APR. A new microfund starts with a small balance; a higher s gives voters tangible rewards from day one.

  • Guarantees expansion. Because s can never exceed 50%, at least half of every purchase always farms and grows net asset value.

  • Aligns governance. Voters share the instant bribe and the long‑term yield stream, nudging them toward sustainable strategies rather than quick pumps.

Governance can adjust s over time—higher at launch to attract votes, lower later to prioritise growth. The cap of fifty percent is immutable.

Example split

An auction raises 10 stS. With the split set to forty percent (40%):

  • 4 stS go to that epoch’s voters as an immediate bribe

  • 6 stS remain in the vault and begin farming yield

What You Earn by Holding gSPHERE

Holding gSPHERE gives passive exposure to the entire protocol. Benefits include:

  • ✅ A share of SPHERE from yield reward auctions (buybacks)

  • oSPHERE emissions, which can be burned or exercised

  • Swap and borrow fees from the bonding curve

  • Bribes, if participating in incentivized votes

Voting locks your gSPHERE until the epoch ends, after which it becomes withdrawable again.

Strategic Governance = Capital Efficiency

Voting in SonicSphere is more than a signal—it's a mechanism to maximize your Intrinsic Borrowing Value (IBV) and extract compounding rewards without selling.

By participating:

  • You influence what assets the protocol accumulates

  • You earn additional rewards via bribes or emissions

  • You help optimize how the protocol grows its treasury

gSPHERE = Influence + Yield + IBV

In SonicSphere, governance is a value engine—not a formality. The more you vote, the more value you extract.
